Being Play on Substack

Happy Christmas to all my subscribers! You might have forgotten you are subscribed as I haven’t posted since early this year. However, I had study leave in the summer and created something that is a kind of Jackson Pollock painting in words… and it’s about play.

It’s hard to describe. It’s a non-linear kind of explosion of stories, reflections, dialogues, poems, sketches and parables. There’s even an interview with the Holy Trinity with a famous chat show host on a long red sofa.

Before publishing it in book form I decided I would release it in a series of Substack posts. I wanted to let you know where to find it as you’ve been my loyal followers for some years! I hope to build a larger audience through Substack than I can with the blog and be able to start a conversation with others. So if you’d like to read it – and my first reviewers have said it is ‘risky, original, and funny’ – please subscribe to Being Play. The first post will be on New Year’s Day.

I’ll direct you to the first Substack post. If you open it up you can subscribe to my Substack from there. You don’t have to join Substack to subscribe to the posts. They’ll just arrive in your Inbox (hopefully!). Let me know if you don’t want to receive it in the comments below or email tehodgett@gmail.com. Thanks very much.
